Each year in May, the STBU membership is invited to attend the Bargaining Unit Annual General Meeting and Celebration Dinner.
During the meeting portion of this event, Annual Reports are provided to the members outlining the activities and achievements of the Bargaining Unit over the past year and amendments to the Constitution and Bylaws are debated, setting the rules of operation for the upcoming year.
In an election year where there are contests for STBU Executive positions, speeches are given by the candidates and members are given an opportunity to ask questions of the candidates running for office.
Tickets to the Celebration Dinner are free, but members must attend the General Meeting portion of the event in order to receive a dinner ticket. It is at the Celebration Dinner that Union Awards are distributed and members of OSSTF District 12 STBU have a chance to come together as a unit to celebrate our strength and achievements as a Bargaining Unit.
